Brian is responsible for the company’s global corporate development and legal initiatives. As General Counsel, Brian manages the company’s legal affairs worldwide, including corporate governance, contracts, transactions, internal policies, compliance and legal risk. In his role as Vice President of Corporate Development, Brian develops and implements strategic internal and external company initiatives to protect and enhance the company’s identity and commitments on a global level. Such initiatives include M&A, government relations, strategic relationships, company culture and corporate citizenship.
Prior to joining Three Pillar Global, Brian was a corporate associate at Cooley LLP in Reston, Virginia, where his practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, public offerings, corporate governance and general corporate representation. Brian has served clients from a wide range of industry sectors including software, education, telecommunications, government contracts, media, defense, intelligence, services and information technology, and he has also represented a number of leading venture capital firms. Brian has represented buyers and sellers in structuring and negotiating transactions such as stock and asset acquisitions and mergers. He has led numerous seed, angel, early, expansion and mezzanine round financings for both issuers and investors. Brian also has represented companies and underwriters in public offerings and advising companies on SEC reporting obligations. Before his work at Cooley, Brian served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles R. Wilson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Brian earned his JD magna cum laude from Notre Dame Law School and his BA in American Studies from Stanford University. Brian is an avid runner and sports enthusiast. He lives in Herndon Virginia with his wife Julie and their four children.
